If you are not familiar with Dance Dance Revolution Wii games check out Hottest Party Review first. All the DDR titles have pretty much the same gameplay. They are fun. Fun to dance, and fun to exercise (is so much fun you will forget you are exercising). They have slight changes from older versions, mainly to introduce new songs, new gameplay modes, and make slight improvements.
Still a great way of exercising and having fun at the same time, Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2 has new improvements from the first version. Now you are able to save your settings, which is important if you like to play only using your feet. In the older version you had to turn off the hand markers at the beginning of every song if you didn’t want to use your hands (it´s kind of difficult for beginners).
The game introduces new gameplay modes such as the “groove arena”, a training mode and a new battle mode. It also features new gimmicks, new characters and graphical enhancements. And of course, an all new soundtrack featuring licensed songs from the past four decades.
Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2 is not compatible with third party pads made for Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 1 and third party pads made for Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix. Anyway the original konami dance pad is the one you should have. All in all, this dance game is super fun and a great cardio workout.
